Working across a range of mental health support functions, Senior Mental Health Support Workers provide short-term, intensive support to adult service users with mental health needs, enabling and empowering them to maximise their social, emotional, and physical independence in line with their individual care plan and the principles of mental health recovery. This involves ensuring that individual care plans are outcome focused and implemented and reviewed in a timely way, communicating any changes to the relevant internal colleagues and external multi-agency partners. Senior Mental Health Support Workers are required to work closely with individuals to develop onward pathways to appropriate services, community groups and third sector organisations to further enable independence and recovery. What we expect from you The successful candidate should have a natural yet professional approach to a wide range of circumstances and complex issues surrounding mental health including, forensic history, substance misuse, homelessness and many other challenging factors.
