Lead Planning, Monitoring & Controls Professional
Barrow in Furness Based (Hybrid - 2 days per fortnight on site)
£62.02 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35
6 Month Contract initially.
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Barrow in Furness. Hybrid working - 2 days per fortnight on site.
Experience required for this role:-
1. Able to perform advanced project reporting & scheduling.
2. Able to undertake advanced problem solving typically based on previous experience.
3. Have a comprehensive knowledge of Business process and procedures.
4. Must be proficient in the use of P6 planning software.
5. Administration and general office skills including spreadsheets/ Microsoft packages.
6. Attend on the job training as appropriate.
7. Able to lead the PM&C processes on a small project or a work package of a larger project.
8. Able to manage the PM&C processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers/users continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
9. Identify, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Applies appropriate PM&C methods and tools whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Agrees PM&C approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
10. Consolidate expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives. Supports and promotes the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation.
11. This is a role for an experienced project professional with a small team and the ability to deliver with limited guidance from the Line Manager.
12. Application of related PM Competencies will be expected at this level.
13. Roles typically require a University Degree, or a substantial amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
14. Incumbent will be expected have a PM Qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification.
