This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Shift Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site.
Working on a rotating weekly shift pattern of 6am – 2pm one week, and then 2 – 10pm, Monday to Friday, you will lead production operations within this specialised manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate will oversee shift teams, drive safe, efficient, and high quality output while consistently support the team to achieve performance and production targets.

How you’ll add value:
* Lead, supervise, and motivate production teams during assigned shifts
* Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Monitor production processes to achieve output, quality, and cost targets
* Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to minimize downtime
* Manage staffing levels, shift handovers, and daily production reporting
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Enforce company policies, procedures, and quality standards
* Address operational issues promptly and effectively
About you:
* Proven experience in a metal making, steel, foundry, or heavy manufacturing environment
* Demonstrable supervisory or shift management experience
* Strong knowledge of health & safety practices in an industrial setting
* Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-temperature production environment
* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Strong communication and organisational abilities
* Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required
