About the role
We’re looking for a Strategic Transport Programme Support Officer to join our Place & Connectivity Directorate to support the Strategic Transport Team.
As a Programme Support Officer you will support the team to deliver projects that make it easier for residents to walk, cycle and use public transport. Expect to get involved in:
* Project & programme support
* Data management & evaluation
* Financial & systems support
* Procurement & contract management
* Working with partners & stakeholders

Responsibilities
Deliver project support activities, maintain accurate project documentation, coordinate procurement activities, monitor progress and raise issues, analyse data and produce reports, liaise with external stakeholders and partner organisations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
* Experience in project/programme coordination and support
* Knowledge of transport or behavioural change initiatives
* Strong IT skills (especially Excel & MS Office)
* Excellent communication & teamwork skills
* Positive, motivated and organised approach
* BTEC/NVQ L3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
* GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade A*/9–C/7 or equivalent)
* Ability to influence how people move across our region
