Transform our property assets and make a difference. Cannock Chase District & Stafford Borough Councils are on a journey to transform service delivery. The two Councils have a wide range of Corporate Assets which are key to the delivery of the Council’s services and the delivery of our wider ambitions to promote Economic Prosperity, Housing Development and support the delivery of high-profile regeneration projects in both Town Centres.
Both Councils are keen to develop new ways of working to maximise the efficiency and performance of our land and property assets to enable the effective delivery of our front-line services.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage corporate asset management activities across the Councils’ property portfolio.
* Engage in contract management, procurement, budgets, and financial planning for assets and services.
* Ensure health and safety in construction, compliance within buildings, and general property maintenance in line with legislation.
* Develop and implement asset management strategies to support service delivery and regeneration projects.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders; negotiate and influence as needed.
* Utilise IT skills (Microsoft Office) to support day-to-day duties and manage workloads efficiently.
* Foster networking and partnership working to optimise asset performance.
Qualifications and experience
* Educated to a minimum of Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area.
* Chartered Membership of a technical body such as the RICS (MRICS) or CIOB, or be working towards such professional status.
* Experience at management or supervisory level in an assets or buildings management role within Local Government or a similar complex organisation.
