Forklift Truck Driver – Walsall
Our client is the family run business and the UK's leading cake manufacturers and exporters, currently recruiting for Counterbalance Driver/FLT to work on their site. The company is an expanding business there will be plenty of opportunities for progression.
Location: Walsall Enterprise Park
Working Hours: Monday -Friday 9.00am-5.00pm depending on the workload (flexibility is required)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role: As a Counterbalance/FLT driver, your main duties and responsibilities will be:
Using a Forklift as a main responsibility
Moving pallets of product from warehousing to distribution areas
Load and unload deliveries using a FLT
Despatching finished goods
Keeping your working area safe and clear from hazards
Moving goods via counterbalance
Picking required assemblies and loading assemblies into sequence order
Understanding written & verbal instructions and effectively communicating with your work colleagues and drivers
Ensure goods received are quality checked to the acceptable business standards, checking for damages and discrepancies and following the corrective methods when issues arise
Goods in / goods out duties
General warehouse duties
Must have a valid FLT license (in-house acceptable)
Essential skills and requirements for the role:
Physically Fit
Valid counterbalance FLT certificate/license is an essential requirement
Previous counterbalance experience is essential for this fast-paced environment
A desire to learn and develop new skills
Good punctuality and attendance
