A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will be joining an established in-house legal team and handling work of national significance.
The successful candidate will benefit from flexible working but will need to attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
This role is ideal for an individual with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, focusing on contract handback, asset condition assessment, and compliance with financial and legal obligations.
Experience in construction law and/or public procurement is advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with the legal team and business units on engineering and construction matters related to infrastructure projects
* Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts
* Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial contracts
* Providing guidance on procurement regulations and policies
* Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious
