THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO SECONDMENT.

We are seeking a dynamic and forward thinking Recruitment Manager to join the Workforce and Organisational Development team at the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust.

This is a key role responsible for leading and modernising recruitment and selection across the organisation. You will design and implement a Recruitment and Talent Attraction Strategy, that ensures we consistently attract, assess, and appoint high quality candidates using modern, innovative and inclusive approaches.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.


Main duties of the job

In this role you will.

* Lead the delivery of high quality, efficient recruitment, and selection service across the organisation
* Design and implement a Recruitment and Talent Attraction Strategy aligned to workforce priorities
* Advise managers of best practice recruitment, selection methods, and relevant employment legislation
* Develop and embed robust, fair, and evidence‑based assessment processes, including interviews and assessment centres
* Support and coach recruiting managers to improve capability and consistency in recruitment decision making
* Plan and co‑ordinate recruitment activity, ensuring effective candidate management and timely progression through each stage
* Oversee the use and optimisation of the Trac Recruitment system, ensuring data quality and effective reporting
* Analyse recruitment data and performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Lead on recruitment campaigns and workforce attraction initiatives for key staff groups
* Contribute to policy development, ensuring recruitment practices are compliant, inclusive, and aligned to organisational standards

Person Specification


Qualifications and Knowledge

* Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
* Specialist knowledge of recruitment and selection to post graduate diploma level acquired through professional qualification (e.g. CIPD) or obtained through practical experience in a recruitment setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory and policy parameters which guide recruitment, resourcing and exit.


Experience

* Experience of Delivering excellent recruitment services inside a medium sized organisation.
* Experience in modern, social recruitment methods.
* Experience of collaborating effectively with external suppliers to plan and deliver services.
* Evidence of actively participating in service improvement and effectiveness.
* Demonstrable experience in leading and managing recruitment projects.
* Experience working in a Workforce and Organisational Development environment within the NHS.


Other

* Ability to travel between sites.
