These interventions are carefully matched to pupils’ needs, monitored for impact and enable pupils to overcome barriers to reading, helping them to access the full curriculum and make sustained progress. Through promoting reading for pleasure and targeted support, the role has a clear and measurable impact on pupils’ outcomes and wider personal development.As the School Librarian, working closely with the English team in both primary and secondary you will deliver targeted literacy interventions, working with small groups of pupils to address gaps in reading, improve fluency and comprehension, and build confidence.
