Overview
Assistant Catering Manager – St Clement’s High School. The successful candidate would join a dedicated and ambitious Catering Department, providing supervision to other catering staff working within the kitchen and offering instruction on the correct uses of specialist technical equipment, presentation or any other area as appropriate.

Salary: Scale D, Point 5-6 approx £21,906 - £22,254 (£25,583 - £25,989 FTE; please note that the salary will be pro rata)
Hours: 37 hrs/week, 39 weeks/year (Term Time + 1 week)

Responsibilities
* To prepare and cook a wide range of fresh seasonal food to serve on a daily basis.
* Ensure high standards and consistency of presentation, production amounts and portion control as per Trust menu.
* Adhere to West Norfolk Academies Trust food hygiene/HACCP systems, ensuring full compliance throughout all food handling and storage with accurate recording of critical temperature controls and thawing and chilled lines, as well as completing cleaning rotas and checklists.
* Provide a courteous standard of service and deal with any issues which arise during operation/opening hours.
* Primary workplace is St Clement’s High School, with potential duties in other catering departments within West Norfolk Academies Trust.
* Judge if food standards are being met and communicate any problems to the Chef.
* Work harmoniously as part of a team, be helpful and polite when dealing with customers.

* Flexible attitude and willingness to assist others in the team when required.
* Demonstrate understanding of food hygiene/HACCP with ability to apply standards in daily work.
