Clinical Deputy Manager – £43,545.92 per annum
Hours: 37.5 per week
A specialist 24-bed care home in Stourbridge is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Deputy Manager to join the leadership team. The service provides nursing, dementia, and disability care in a modern, purpose-built environment.
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in the clinical coordination of the service, supporting and supervising a large team to deliver the highest standards of care. This role is central to maintaining and developing care principles centred on wellness, happiness, and kindness, working closely with residents, their families, the local community, GPs, and other professionals to ensure residents live as full and independent a life as possible.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist the Service Manager in leading staff to deliver safe, high-quality care in line with regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Co-ordinate and lead the nursing team, ensuring person-centred care that promotes dignity, privacy, safety, independence, and equality.
* Oversee the smooth running of nursing units and liaise with external health professionals.
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and accountability for infection control.
* Monitor and maintain standards of care, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and appraisal processes.
* Mentor and guide team members, fostering a positive workplace culture and high employee engagement.
* Address complaints and suggestions within set timescales.
* Provide robust leadership in the absence of the Service Manager.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Nurse qualified with a valid NMC Pin.
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse.
* Experience supporting elderly residents and delivering person-centred care.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to assess residents’ needs and develop tailored care plans.
* Commitment to delivering care to the highest standards and optimising resident wellbeing.
