Tetra Tech RPS 2026 Graduate Scheme: Your Launchpad to a Consultancy Career

Join our two-year Graduate Scheme and kickstart your career with hands‑on experience, expert mentorship, and a tailored development plan. You’ll work on a variety of real‑world projects, develop both technical and professional skills, and be encouraged to share your ideas and shape your future.

The Role

We’re seeking talented graduates to join our Human Factors team in Warrington. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and provide human factors consultancy services within the nuclear and other sectors to clients. We as a team provide Human Factors design and safety case support to ensure that the role of the operator is fully considered and potential for human error minimised.

Your Impact in this Position

As a Graduate Human Factors Consultant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the technical delivery of projects. You’ll gain hands‑on experience through visits to client sites and facilities as well as opportunities to work on projects at different stages of design. You will provide consultancy advice to our clients, contributing towards the success of the team through the effective delivery of projects and ensuring development of key client relationships.

You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines including nuclear safety, process safety, and fire engineering, attend client meetings and site visits and contribute to technical reports.

Mandatory Training & Qualification Requirements

Have, or be on course for achieving, a relevant degree in one of the following subjects:

* MSc/PgDip or BSc in Human Factors, Ergonomics, or Psychology.

What to Expect

* Mentorship & Support: Learn from experienced professionals and receive guidance from a dedicated technical mentor in your chosen discipline.
* Structured Learning: Benefit from a blend of formal training, project‑based learning, and self‑directed study.
* Personal Development: Build your consultancy skills through a mix of technical and interpersonal training, with regular feedback and reviews.
* Community: Start with a central induction alongside your graduate peers and become part of a collaborative, supportive network.

Programme Highlights

* Central induction and ongoing support from your line manager and mentor.
* In‑depth technical training in your core discipline, plus exposure to 15 technical and 8 interpersonal topics.
* Quarterly development reviews to track your progress.
* Opportunities to shadow senior colleagues and contribute to diverse projects.

Your Pathway

You’ll be assigned a location, cost centre, line manager, and a ‘home’ technical discipline based on your qualifications and business needs. If you wish to explore a different discipline at the end of the programme, we’ll consider this based on your interests and business requirements.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Partnership

As part of the scheme, you’ll have access to the CMI Foundation Chartered Manager pathway through flexible, online Bite Size programmes. Choose from a range of topics—including Managing Change, Leading in a Digital Age, Conflict Resolution, Project Management, and Data‑Driven Decision Making—to build your leadership and management skills.

Application and Selection Process

To apply for the Tetra Tech RPS 2026 Graduate Scheme, candidates must submit an up‑to‑date CV detailing their academic background, relevant experience, and motivation for joining the programme. All applications will be acknowledged upon receipt.

Following initial screening, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment designed to evaluate key competencies and problem‑solving skills relevant to consultancy work. Those who progress beyond this stage will be invited to attend a final assessment, which will take the form of either an in‑person interview or an assessment centre, depending on location and discipline.

The closing date for applications in this round is 30th November 2025. We encourage early submissions to ensure full consideration.
