Role Overview
Our client, a leading entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a highly skilled Production Test Engineer with a focus on Live Build - Electronic/Electrical, located in Stevenage. This is a contract position aimed at enhancing their current capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform electrical testing on live builds, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Utilise measurement and test principles using appropriate test equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve issues at electronic system and sub-system levels.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults.
* Maintain detailed documentation of test results and diagnostics processes.
* Address high voltage safety requirements and ensure all procedures are followed meticulously.
* Apply knowledge of RF and microwave technology at the system level, where applicable.
* Contribute to the development and refinement of test equipment throughout the CADMID product lifecycle.
Job Requirements
* Experience as an Electrical Tester, particularly within the Defence or Aerospace industry.
* Significant experience with measurement and test principles, and associated test equipment.
* Proficiency in electronic system and sub-system level fault finding.
* Understanding of CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment.
* Knowledge of RF and microwave technology at the system level is advantageous.
* High Voltage training and awareness.
* Familiarity with SAP systems is beneficial.
* Proficiency in MS Office for technical specification and report preparation.
Qualifications
HNC/HND in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
