Financial Reporting Accountant (Treasury)
Brighton (Victory House, BN1 4FY) or London (Angel Court, EC2R 7HJ – role will involve travel to Brighton)
Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
Full time – 37.5 hours

Salary from £54,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience) plus 10% annual bonus

As a Financial Reporting Accountant – Treasury, you’ll play a key role in supporting our purpose by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our treasury-related financial reporting. How you’ll help us make health happen
As our Financial Reporting Accountant, you’ll:
1. Be the subject matter expert for treasury accounting across UK and Irish regulated entities.
2. Prepare and analyse financial results (management and statutory) related to treasury activities.
3. Make sure trades are accurately reflected in the Treasury Management System (TMS) and reconcile with the general ledger.
4. Own the accounting and reporting for derivatives and hedge accounting.
5. Deliver timely and accurate statutory, regulatory, and management reports.
6. Provide clear explanations of treasury performance to stakeholders and support audit processes.
7. Collaborate with the Head of Treasury and Senior Investment Manager on planning and forecasting.
8. Support enhancements to the TMS and test system changes.
9. Maintain up-to-date documentation and apply new accounting standards in line with Bupa policy.
10. Share your expertise with the wider finance team and contribute to broader initiatives.
Key Skills qualifications needed for this role
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset.
You’ll need:
11. A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) – please specify this on your application.
12. Strong experience in treasury accounting or financial services.
13. Solid understanding of IFRS, especially IFRS 9, 13, and 7.
14. Proven experience in financial and management reporting, ideally in a multi-currency environment.
15. A proactive approach to process improvement and documentation.
16. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
17. A team player who meets deadlines and delivers high-quality work.
18. Experience with Treasury Management Systems would be beneficial
