The Role
Daniel Owen are currently recruiting for a skilled Gas Engineer to join a busy and growing team based in Birmingham.
This role involves carrying out planned central heating installations, servicing, and maintenance across social housing properties. This is an initial 12-week temporary position with a strong opportunity to move into a permanent role.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: Up to £25 per hour (temporary)
Permanent Salary: £36,000 per annum
A company van and fuel card will be provided, covering the South Birmingham area.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day repairs, servicing, and maintenance on heating systems
Complete works within void properties, including refurbishments and renewals
Perform cooker point alterations and radiator relocations
Aim to achieve first-time fix on all jobs while working within time and budget constraints
Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical standards and legal requirementsWhat We're Looking For
Essential:
Valid Gas Safe Registration
Current CCN1 and CEN1 gas qualifications
Full UK driving licence
Strong experience in gas servicing and maintenanceDesirable:
Additional gas qualifications (HTR1, CKR1, MET1, WAT1)
CSCS card and HAPS test certification
NVQ or City & Guilds in Heating Engineering or PlumbingWhat's on Offer
