As a Director in our team, you\'ll work closely alongside Partners and Associate Directors and help shape the strategic direction and development of the team, with the opportunity to:

* Demonstrate leadership capabilities to effectively manage diverse teams in an inclusive culture where delivery is recognised.
* Lead client engagements and develop strong long-term client relationships as a trusted business advisor in the General Insurance sector.
* Own and develop propositions, contribute to innovative thought leadership and support business growth.
* Develop and source new opportunities with our clients and Deloitte.
* Play an active role in the recruitment and career development of junior team members.

Responsibilities

* Build offerings and own portfolio across insurance audit (including Lloyd\'s Statement of Actuarial Opinion when relevant), independent reserve reviews, M&A and transformation.
* Lead client projects, ensure timely delivery and high quality outputs, and manage or escalate risks and issues.
* Define client deliverables, plans and approaches.
* Manage junior staff as part of larger projects, including performance management.
* Maintain client contact, handle queries, lead meetings and work on client sites.
* Collaborate with Deloitte\'s technology and vendor alliances and other business relationships.
* Lead business development activities and take accountability for sub-areas of practice management (e.g., brand, eminence, proposition development, operational excellence).
* Operate in a practice with breadth and depth, involved in a wide variety of assignments.


Qualifications

* Qualified Actuary or equivalent by experience.
* Experience in the UK non-life insurance industry.
* Solvency II/UK, IFRS17 knowledge.
* Strong network and market presence.
* Strong reserving background across several lines; some capital modelling experience (standard formula or internal model).
* Ability to apply knowledge in practical, commercial situations and take ownership of work packages or small projects.
* Self-starting with ability to build rapport and relationships; ability to challenge established processes and drive change.
* Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present and lead discussions.
* Practising or equivalent Certificate (Chief Actuary or Lloyds Signing Actuary) depending on focus and experience.
