Overview
Registered Nurse (Nights) – Permanent, Full-time (38.5 hours per week, includes occasional evenings and weekends).
Location: St Mary's Chanterlands, Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
* Maintain high standards of care in accordance with residents' care plans and handover reports.
* Support junior care and ancillary staff to provide an efficient and homely environment.
* Report ill health among clients and request GP/Professional visits where necessary.
* Ensure clients' care plans are completed and maintained in accordance with NMC guidelines and company policy.
* Assess all aspects of clients' care needs and provide direct nursing care.
* Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain ongoing assessment and review.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure each client has an individualised care plan; review bi-annual or more frequently as needed.
* Carry out regular checks on clients at intervals determined by the home manager and give a clear handover report at shift end.
* Undertake tasks such as medication distribution, dressing, catheterisation, tube feeding and chronic medical condition management, documenting in line with company procedures and NMC guidelines.
* Liaise with health and social care professionals to maintain a holistic approach to residents' care.
* Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with clients' personal and financial affairs, avoiding abuse of privileged relationships.
* Act at all times in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct.
* Maintain a current NMC registration and meet revalidation criteria.
