EMP Lead - Defence & Security

Role description
Arcadis is seeking a strategic minded Establishment Management Plan (EMP) Project Lead with a strong background in asset management consulting and facilities management. Preferred experience includes strategic master‑planning. The ideal candidate will be an asset management consultant who has led large multidisciplinary projects in Defence or the Public Sector.
Role accountabilities
* Lead and execute EMP projects as the designated EMP Lead for Arcadis, delivering asset management optimisation strategies for Defence Estate sites.
* Communicate complex master‑planning and asset management concepts clearly to clients and external stakeholders, using strong oral and written skills.
* Analyse project challenges and identify optimal solutions, applying problem‑solving skills to ensure effective asset management strategies.
* Act as a strategic consultant, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving initiatives to enhance asset management processes and outcomes, including master‑planning components.
* Provide technical expertise within own projects, advising team members to support successful delivery in line with objectives and strategies.
* Build and manage relationships with senior client project sponsors and stakeholders to keep all parties informed and aligned on project progress.
* Accountable for project budget and forecast.
* Travel to project sites for stakeholder presentations and ad‑hoc team site visits, as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced project lead managing complex, high‑profile projects in Defence and/or the Public Sector.
* Experience in Asset Optimisation and Estates Management strategy.
* Excellent verbal and report‑writing skills.
* Design, Building Surveying, and Master‑Planning skills.
* Proven ability to manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
* Expertise in project management within area of specialism.
* Experience managing business relationships at the executive level.
* Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) followed by Security Check (SC Clearance) is required; an active or transferable SC clearance must be held.
