Company Overview
We are a highly successful Building and Electrical company established in 1984 as a small electrical contractor and we’ve gradually and organically expanded over the years. You will be joining us in our growth as we continue in our vision to deliver high standards of Building and Electrical services with a focus on quality, customer service, value for money and people.
Role Responsibilities
* Administer weekly payroll, CIS duties and accounts payable duties.
* Process sub‑contractors’ invoices and record CIS submission data to HMRC.
* Use SAGE payroll and Microsoft Business Central systems to manage finances and payroll.
* Maintain accurate coding of jobs and invoices on the systems.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure jobs and invoices are completed on time.
* Show initiative, identify potential problems and work through solutions until resolution is reached.
Qualifications
* Previous payroll (CIS/sub‑contractors) knowledge and experience.
* Basic awareness of double entry accounting and data flow through the accounting system.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Long‑term commitment outlook.
Benefits & Compensation
Annual salary up to £28k (depending on experience), 28 days plus bank holidays, one day holiday for your birthday, pension, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) with excellent training and progression opportunities.
