Trainee Fragrance Evaluator

Quintessence is a niche fragrance company, part of the global LUCTA group, specialising in Fine Fragrance, Personal and Air Care. With operations in UK, India, Europe, US, UAE and China we give a global service to our selected clients, which is one of the many reasons we are growing significantly faster than our competition.
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an individual to train as a evaluator with our talented in house team. As a trainee evaluator you will learn the skills that will give you the foundation to manage fragrance brief and collaborate with our perfumery, marketing and sales teams to design or select winning fragrances. To be eligible for this training program, you are required to have a science or related degree, be a creative thinker and have a passion for fragrance.
Due to the nature of this role we are unable to support complete remote working so applicants must be willing to relocate to the South Coast of England where our UK operation is based.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop an understanding of creative projects; learn how to select or develop fragrances in line with our customer's requirements.
· Collaborate with evaluation and marketing teams to identify new fragrance trends and market directions, and work directly with perfumers as part of the dynamic creative process.
· Support the technical team to develop innovative new fragrances and fragranced media.
· Support and participate in expert sensory panels
Essential Skills Required:
· Science or related degree
· Keen interest in the fragrance and beauty industry
