Pay: £115-125 per day

About the Role:
We’re working with a number of secondary schools across Bridgend looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support the day-to-day running of classrooms. Whether you come from a sports, youth work, coaching, or education background, if you can lead a room with confidence and energy, we want to hear from you.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll take charge of classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay on task and follow lesson plans. No planning or marking required—just great classroom presence and the ability to keep students engaged.

Your Responsibilities:
* Supervise Lessons: Deliver pre-set work to classes and ensure pupils remain focused and respectful.
* Engage & Motivate: Keep students on track, using your presence and rapport to maintain a positive atmosphere.
* Support Learning: Answer basic questions and offer guidance where needed (no subject knowledge required).
* Manage Behaviour: Uphold school policies and manage low-level disruption confidently.
* Be Adaptable: Step into a variety of subjects and year groups as needed throughout the school day.

What We’re Looking For:
* Confident Leader: Comfortable speaking in front of a class and maintaining control.
* Sporty or Active Background: (Optional but ideal) Great for those with a PE, coaching, or team leadership background.
* Positive Role Model: Reliable, professional, and respected by pupils.
* Good Communicator: Able to build strong relationships with staff and students.
* Flexible & Adaptable: Calm under pressure and ready to jump into different roles each day.

Ideal Background:
* Experience working with young people—whether in schools, clubs, coaching, youth work or mentoring.
* Degree or strong GCSE/A-Level background is preferred but not essential.
* Training in safeguarding or classroom management is a bonus—we can help you get this.
