Residential Support Worker (EBD, Vulnerable Children & PMLD)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our team, supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), vulnerable backgrounds, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care, emotional support, and practical assistance to children with a range of complex needs. You will help create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support children with EBD, PMLD, and other complex needs in a residential setting
2. Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
3. Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and personal development
4. Assist with daily routines, including personal care where required
5. Implement care plans and behaviour management strategies
6. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
7. Maintain accurate records and reports
Essential Requirements:
8. Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Children & Young People, or equivalent
9. Minimum 2 years’ experience working with EBD, vulnerable children, or PMLD
10. Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
13. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Desirable:
14. Experience in a residential care setting
15. Additional training in behaviour management or SEND support
