About The Role
We are looking for individuals with a go-getter attitude to join our baking team. Individuals must be highly enthusiastic, personable, possess strong and proven customer service skills, and be willing to go the extra mile. If you enjoy working within a buzzing and unique environment, baking and learning new skills, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you to embark on. The role includes charming our customers, assisting with daily cleaning tasks, weighing ingredients, and washing up.
The role is highly diverse. As part of our event, you will be customer-facing while assisting with the daily running and upkeep of the event – acting as an all-round hero to our business and customers. Hospitality Assistant Duties:
Hospitality Assistants must be flexible in their working hours and available to work evenings and weekends. They should be willing to travel to other venue locations when required, which may include future sites.
The role involves shift work from Monday to Sunday.
* Assisting the Head Baker with kitchen duties such as weighing ingredients and making decorations
* Maintaining high levels of customer service and a positive attitude
* Helping with daily cleaning, washing up, and shift changeovers
* Maintaining presentation standards throughout the event
* Greeting customers and ensuring a lively atmosphere during shifts
* Engaging with customers and providing tips during sessions
* Being creative and energetic to keep the atmosphere positive during busy shifts
Key Tasks
* Opening and closing the event under the Head Baker’s direction
* Managing inventory and stock control
* Following all food hygiene and safety regulations
* Adhering to health and safety protocols
* Ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards
* Managing customer arrivals and hosting
* Time management for event and shift changeovers
* Hosting up to 40 customers in a fun and friendly manner
* Pre-preparing ingredients at the start of each day
* Providing feedback to business owners
* Managing booking and arrival systems
* Maintaining a clean environment and daily cleaning tasks
* Willingness to cover for other staff when needed
Qualifications / Requirements:
* Experience in baking and hospitality, with a focus on maintaining standards and enhancing customer experience
* Availability to work at least 2 shifts per week
* Attention to detail and creativity
* Confidence in communicating with customers
* Previous hospitality experience
* Enthusiasm and willingness to go above and beyond
* London – £11.70/hour
* Birmingham – £11.55/hour
* Manchester – £11.65/hour
