The role
As a Risk Manager Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Reporting to the Project Controls Capability Lead, you will work with the other Discipline Leads (Cost/Estimating, Planning & Project Management) to ensure best practice approaches, governance and techniques, in line with Group policies, are embedded as part of our local operating model(s) and project delivery lifecycle – focusing on instilling strong foundations and forward looking, proactive approaches to delivery.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for supporting the integration of new enterprise level risk management toolsets, ensuring standardised and co-ordinate use across the entire portfolio.

* In your capacity as Discipline Lead, you will be responsible for leading the community of individuals specialised in project risk management, including professional development, mentoring and coaching. You will also work with the PM&PC Operations Lead to generate a pipeline of suitably qualified and experienced project risk management professionals in line with related delivery demand across the portfolio.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days working from home.
Essential Experience Of The Risk Manager Lead
* Significant experience of project risk management, control techniques and approaches. Experience of applying RAIDO and ERM practices is also advantageous.
* Comprehensive experience of delivering/leading risk management within projects and programmes for large and technically complex equipment or system delivery contracts.
* Significant experience in the use and administration of risk management toolsets such as RiskHive, Active Risk Manager or similar.
* Experience of conducting and assuring quantitative risk analysis, schedule and cost (i.e. SRA & CRA Monte Carlo), utilising toolsets such as Predict, Primavera Risk Analyser, @Risk or Safran.

The successful candidate must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
