Are you ready to make a splash in the world of water infrastructure? We’re on the lookout for passionate Quantity Surveyors to join our dynamic Southern Water team based in Falmer and Chatham. This is your chance to be part of an exciting £3.1bn Strategic Development Partnership and contribute to meaningful projects that make a difference!
Location & Flexibility
You'll have the flexibility to work remotely, with just 3 days a week required on-site. Our full-time hours are 40 hours per week, but we’re open to condensed working, part-time, or job share arrangements to suit your lifestyle.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be an integral part of our Commercial team, focusing on controlling costs and maximizing value. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
* Manage project finances, including preparing applications for payment and monitoring costs.
* Build strong relationships with subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth financial processes.
* Support procurement activities and provide insightful commercial evaluations.
* Identify changes and assist with Change Control procedures.
* Ensure all contractual notifications are accurately in place.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
* You have experience with NEC contracts and Target Costs.
* You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy building relationships across teams.
* You have a background in the construction, water, or civil infrastructure sectors.
* You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* You possess strong communication skills and enjoy engaging with clients.
