Learning Support Assistant – Primary SEN SchoolsLocation: Portsmouth
About the RoleTeaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within Primary Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in the Portsmouth area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support younger pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education and develop key foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored and engaging learning activities
* Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements
* A passion for supporting young children with additional needs
* Previous experience in education or care settings
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Compliance Requirements
* Applicants must have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
