Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week Salary: up to £40,000 per year (depending on experience, training and qualification)
Overview
We have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Cluster Advisor to join our Health & Safety department. This is a full‑time role requiring coverage of a flexible shift pattern across multiple sites.
Duties of this Role Include
* Give clear advice to Senior Management Teams (SMTs) on compliance with obligations under applicable legislation, guidance and policies, and actively support implementation.
* Demonstrate an appropriate level of compliance with relevant health and safety standards to CHG’s regulators (CQC, HIS, HIW, HSE, EA, local government agents and other stakeholders).
* Collaborate and communicate with the HSCL to improve health and safety performance, consistency and compliance across cluster sites.
* Cooperate and coordinate to achieve the designated H&S time allocation for each site with the HSCL.
* Assist in identifying and sharing lessons learned following incidents in the cluster.
* Contribute where required to corporate projects and initiatives such as CHG policy and procedural development, research and training.
* Escalate intolerable H&S risks to the Operational Manager/Director and provide practicable recommendations for improvement.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Operational Health & Safety.
* Level 3 qualification in H&S Management.
* H&S professional registration (IOSH) or willingness to apply for registration.
* Fire safety skills.
* Competency as a Risk Assessor.
* Contractor safety management skills.
* RCA / Incident investigation skills.
* Experience undertaking audits.
