Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Payroll Team Manager within the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust payroll team. The team provides payroll services to Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust employees. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is experienced in NHS Payroll and ESR to support the Payroll Team manager to ensure that staff are paid in line with Trust and Statutory conditions.
Main duties of the job
* Support the Payroll Team Manager in various senior duties to ensure that all work from the payroll team is completed in an accurate and timely manner, with all payments and deductions being made in accordance with the policies, rules and regulations of the organisation, AFC and GMC T&C's, the Inland Revenue and NHS Pensions Agency whilst still having responsibility for own payroll.
* Help provide support and advice to the rest of the payroll team.

Person Specification
Essential criteria
* Good NHS Payroll experience
* Good ESR experience
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Good knowledge of Statutory regulations
Desirable criteria
* Good knowledge of renumeration policies and regulations
Knowledge Essential criteria
* At least 4 years of NHS Payroll experience
Desirable criteria
* Experience of training staff
