We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this role, you will greet and welcome customers, manage reservations alongside the management team, and help ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. You will also support in maintaining high standards of service, organisation, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, a proactive attitude, and the confidence to show leadership and initiative in a variety of situations.
Responsibilities:
* Welcome and greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure an exceptional dining experience.
* Use our SevenRooms reservation system to understand guest needs and deliver a personalized service.
* Manage multiple bookings simultaneously, coordinating guest requirements and creating a seamless flow.
* Escort guests to their tables and provide engaging menu tours with tailored recommendations.
* Handle phone calls, take reservations, and provide accurate information to guests.
* Lead by example in delivering outstanding guest service, promptly addressing any concerns.
* Maintain a clean and organised front-of-house, including outside frontage, entryway, waiting areas, and restrooms.
* Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the host stand and managing the reservation diary.
* Support training of new team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
* Coordinate seating assignments, table turnovers, and guest flow to maximize efficiency.
* Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely service, including dietary or special requests.
* Assist with cash handling and payment processing, ensuring compliance with procedures.
* Uphold health, safety, and food safety standards at all times.
* Collaborate with management and supervisors to implement policies and initiatives that enhance operations and guest satisfaction.
