Housing Advice & Homelessness Preventions – Hillingdon Council
3-6 months contract
Rate – £23+ per hour

This role is Office based 2/3 days per week
Candidate will be expected to be part of the Housing Options duty Service, completing assessment, and carrying out respective prevention/ relief work. and managing a varied caseload Knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act and other relevant legislation and statute is required along with experience of carrying out homelessness enquires, casework and drafting s184 decision letters.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate they have practical experience of delivering in a pressurised Housing Options Services and is manage the multiple demands and pressures of the service.
Experience:
* Experience of working on defined operational projects, working to tight deadlines and objectives with minimum supervision.
* Experience of case work and the application of case work management systems.
* Experience of working in a front facing team interviewing and assessing clients with a need for assistance.
* To be proactively managing complex case work and contributing to case reviews where residents are at risk of homelessness to effectively fulfil the Council statutory duties and resolve their homelessness and intervene immediately with cases to prevent crisis homelessness.
