Job Description
As a Strategic Sourcing Lead, you will be proactively involved in procuring high-value goods and services. You will buy IT, consulting, MRO and agency etc. You will manage both CAPEX and OPEX across all procurement activities.· Responsible for maximizing value through procurement by strategically managing the UK supplier spend and identifying opportunities that drive sustainable improvement in cost, quality, service, and innovation.· You will be involved in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Procurement excellence. You will have to build strong supplier relationships.· Involved in managing procurement processes across the team and help to drive improvements.· Working in a matrix environment with exposure to global sourcing activities and partnering with the wider business.· Proactively enable commercially viable sourcing strategies and efficiency levers for spend in remit· Ideally have knowledge of IT category management as a key area, but be a generalist procurement professional· Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet organisational goals.· Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
As a Sourcing / Procurement lead you will have.· At least 5 - 7 years of procurement / sourcing experience in buying goods and services, including (not limited to ) IT, consultancy, FM, travel, General expenses, Civil maintenance contracts, Equipment and equipment refurbishments, particularly high-value contracts and call-off term contracts. You would have ideally worked in the utilities/ energy sector.·Must have working knowledge of ERP system with a track record of delivering process improvements and automation.· Essential knowledge of standard consultancy contracts, licensing contracts, service contracts, head of terms·Ideally you will have set up a category understand CAPEX Procurement and Ideally will have working knowledge of SAP Ariba
