The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available within Fresh Futures’ Children and Families Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic Health and Wellbeing Support Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of Fresh Futures Health and Wellbeing services to improve the wellbeing of children & families and to ensure target communities needs are met.
Why the role exists and overall responsibility
* To support the Service Manager with the development and implementation of Fresh Futures Health and Wellbeing services to improve the wellbeing of children & families and to ensure target communities needs are met.
* To support effective community engagement with other third sector organisations and partners to improve accessibility of Fresh Futures services and to raise awareness and knowledge of these provisions to overall increase uptake.
Main activities
* To ensure effective operational processes and procedures are implemented and followed for efficient service delivery and contractual targets and outcomes are adhered to.
* To ensure both qualitative and quantitative data is collated and is readily available in a timely manner for monitoring purposes.
* To monitor and report to Fresh Futures management on service delivery, including progress, outcomes, and any challenges and/or areas for improvement.
* To undertake community engagement, networking, and information sharing
* Develop strong working relationships with new and established service contacts, partner agencies and Fresh Futures services
* To be responsible for maintaining stock levels
* Comply with all relevant Fresh Futures policies and procedures
* Undertake training and professional development as necessary in order to be able to fulfil the role
Knowledge, training and experience required
* This role would suit anyone with an interest in public health, health inequalities and community development work
* GCSE/Level 4 or equivalent in English and Maths
* Experience of using computer packages including word processing, databases, spreadsheets.
* Level 2 qualification in childcare and development or experience in child development & health & wellbeing – or equivalent experience
* Experience of working with partners and professionals in supporting the development of service provision and maintaining relationships
* Ability to work across Kirklees and neighbouring areas as required
