A recent addition to their offerings has led to a brand-new workshop and vacancies for a Mechanical Technician to work on specialist vehicles.
About the Role:
As a mechanical workshop Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, refurbishing, and servicing specialist truck and trailers for the cooling and transport of liquified gases. This will include; Gas storage tanks, transfer systems, pumps, pipework, valve control systems, gauges, and regulators. On occasions, your role may also include trailer maintenance such as braking, wheels, axles, lighting etc
The successful Workshop Technician:
Specific training will be offered but the following should be demonstrable from your experience thus far:
* Apprentice engineering trained, or equivalent experience within a hands on, technician / engineer capacity.
* An ability to learn new safety critical processes and a willingness to be trained.
* General mechanical maintenance skills, with an ability to read engineering drawings and diagnose faults.
* A safety first, process driven approach to your activities.
* Full training provided, but any knowledge/experience in systems for frozen, Refrigerated goods or ideally, liquified gases.
