It systems engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 38,000 per year Requirements: Previous experience in an IT Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, and VPNs Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently Strong work ethic Use of initiative Azure or AWS cloud experience Experience with cybersecurity tools and best practices PowerShell scripting knowledge Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco Experience of Sage 200 would be desirable Experience of working within a factory setting would be an advantage Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and network infrastructure Provide technical support to users across the organisation Monitor system performance and resolve hardware, software, and network issues Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 environments Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V Assist with cybersecurity measures including patching, antivirus, backups, and access controls Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, and support procedures Support cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments Work with external suppliers and vendors where required Participate in IT projects including upgrades, migrations, and system deployments Adhere to all relevant ISO processes and policies Carry out other smaller administrative and coordination tasks Technologies: AWS Active Directory Azure Cloud Cisco Hardware Hyper-V Support Microsoft 365 Network PowerShell Sage TCP/IP VMware Windows Office 365 More: We are a leading British manufacturer within the materials handling sector.
