At Beam, you get to do work that matters for the world. We’re solving the world's toughest social problems with an incredible team, tech and AI. And we’re growing fast
It’s not easy. Nothing worth doing ever is.
Join a company at the forefront of social impact, driving first-of-its-kind positive change. You’ll be part of a high-performance culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work.
From top-tier coaching and personal development budgets to competitive salaries, we take care of everyone who works at Beam.
We’ve already seen incredible growth from our Magic Notes product, helping case workers save over 8 hours of admin per week. From social workers and NHS clinicians to mental health practitioners and safeguarding specialists, over 20,000 frontline workers across the UK are now using Magic Notes regularly to deliver faster, more human-centred support.
As a Caseworker at Beam, you will have the opportunity to support people into independence. You'll manage a caseload of members who have housing support needs, providing person-centred advice and guidance while delivering the Individual Placement Support (IPS) model to empower them to find meaningful, sustainable, paid employment. Training will be provided!
Crucially, you'll also build strong relationships with locally based employers, ensuring job opportunities are suitable and sustainable. You will collaborate closely with local council housing teams, the DWP, and accommodation providers – taking a holistic approach that connects housing and employment and helps members move forward with confidence. This role requires you to be based in the Fareham region and attend in-person meetings 3 days a week.
You’ll be
* Delivering High-Quality IPS Casework - Providing direct, person-centred support to your caseload. This includes completing Vocational Profiles, crafting personalised action plans for job search, CVs, interviews, career development, and assessing complex needs.
* Building Strategic Relationships - Acting as an embedded IPS specialist, forging integrated relationships with local employers and key external partners (housing teams, DWP) to source job opportunities and promote employment as a holistic intervention in a member's housing journey.
* Sourcing and Retaining Jobs - Proactively making regular employer contact to find hidden and advertised opportunities. You'll provide essential in-work support to members and employers (e.g., negotiating adjustments, exploring 'job carving') to ensure long-term job retention.
* Driving Impact and Scale - Working towards measurable job start and retention targets. You'll use initiative to find creative solutions for overcoming unique barriers, challenging inequalities, and leveraging AI-powered technology to increase efficiency in your casework.
* Providing Remote and In-Person Support - Delivering effective IPS practice while working independently and reliably. This involves running regular in-person meetings with members and external stakeholders, which requires working in-person in Fareham three days a week.
* Ensuring Data and Compliance - Adhering to strict data capture protocols to maintain accurate records and support data-driven decision-making.
You are
* Compassionate and Highly Relational - Equipped with strong listening skills, genuine compassion, and a positive attitude, committed to co-producing service development. You're a strong relationship builder able to effectively manage a variety of stakeholders, such as employers and council partners.
* Confident Communicator - Able to set boundaries and clearly communicate with diverse groups, including vulnerable members, employers, and external stakeholders.
* Adaptable and Resilient - Energised by fast-paced, ever-changing environments. You thrive working independently in a remote/embedded capacity and are committed to continuous learning about homelessness and IPS.
* An 'Ideas Person' - Driven by hard challenges to find new and better ways of doing things. You use your initiative to problem-solve and actively promote the service to employers.
* Experienced Multitasker - Comfortable managing numerous cases simultaneously, ensuring progress for each individual, and maintaining accurate, complete casework records.
* Data-Informed - Someone who appreciates the importance of acting on data and ensuring that effective monitoring and evaluation systems are adhered to for both reporting and service improvement.
Secondments from other IPS services can be explored on a fixed term contract basis.
