Position: Territory Manager
As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring CitySprint delivers consistent and exceptional account management to our clients. You will have full commercial responsibility for the retention, revenue, and margin performance of a defined portfolio of clients. Your role involves developing sales plans and strategies with your team that are robust and fit for purpose. You will report to the Regional Commercial Manager and grow your territory revenue by directly selling solutions to new and existing customers through face-to-face contact. This position requires daily travel within your assigned territory.
Successful candidates will need strong existing Sales, Business Development, and Account Management experience and should thrive in a fast-paced, changeable, and pressurized environment.
Skills needed for a Territory Manager:
* Ability to nurture and develop a large portfolio valued in excess of £1m of high-spending demanding customers through Quarterly & Monthly review Meetings, increasing wallet share.
* Ability to build and manage a pipeline on short, medium, and long-term bases, generating leads through LinkedIn, Cold Calls, and Referrals to win new business.
* High-volume B2B sales experience with proven success.
* Consultative selling and closing skills or the willingness to learn these skills through following a structured sales process.
* Willingness to travel and efficiently plan and manage time to achieve weekly KPIs while accommodating dynamic business needs.
* Effectively manage escalations and hold relevant teams accountable for delivering positive customer experiences and meeting service levels.
* Ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions.
* Understanding complex customer requirements and building appropriate solutions through case studies and knowledge of the courier/logistics industry.
* Knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce.
* Exceptional contract negotiation skills.
* Understanding of the Tender/RFI process and ownership of these processes.
* Excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage audiences.
* Ability to collaborate effectively to reach mutually agreeable outcomes.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
* Actively seek innovative ways to improve processes, products, and client experience.
* Demonstrate superior judgment and utilize information to build business cases and enact positive change.
* Understand the hierarchy and culture of customer and supplier organizations, identifying decision makers and influencers.
* Manage changing priorities and ambiguity calmly and effectively.
