About the Job:
This advert is for Senior Health Care Assistant vacancies at the University Hospitals of Leicester.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will perform a range of clinical and non-clinical healthcare or therapeutic tasks under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner, following Trust policies and values.
Experience in healthcare is essential.
Training will be provided to develop the core skills needed for working in an acute trust as a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Assistant. You must bring evidence of a care certificate to the interview if shortlisted.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Flexibility is encouraged to support work/life balance, but must meet service needs, which should be discussed at interview.
Standard ward hours are:
* Long Day: 07:30 – 20:00
* Night: 19:30 – 08:00
* Short shifts: early and late shifts in some areas
Main duties of the job
What will you be doing?
* Working as an integral team member, supervised by a registered practitioner.
* Providing personal and clinical care, undertaking observations, and other delegated interventions.
* Following SOPs, policies, and guidelines; working within your role's scope and developing self-directed skills.

* Capable of taking and recording vital signs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to provide excellent patient-centered care.
