We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, which involves creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, keeping accurate records of support planning, and ensuring the service user is offered opportunities, experiences, and care/support within their care plan. The role also involves promoting service users' access to local community opportunities and enabling them to continue living meaningful lives.
We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people. Our services include care homes, respite, STAR unit, and day services.

The Person
* Provide care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
* Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to support effective planning and delivery of care and support.
* Be flexible and creative within a dynamic and ambitious team.
* Work towards the required qualification as mandated by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Once qualified, it is your responsibility to inform the SSSC accordingly within the designated timeframes.
* Achieve registration with the SSSC within 6 months of starting the role, applying within 3 months of employment. Maintain registration by obtaining the necessary qualifications, completing Continuous Professional Learning (CPL), and submitting annual declarations via MySSSC. Details about qualifications and timeframes are available on the SSSC website.
Note: As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration. It is advisable to start your application promptly to ensure registration within six months. Further details are provided in the role profile.
Additional Requirements: Before confirming your appointment, you will need to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
