Description Costain Heathrow Airport team have a unique opportunity for an Environment and Sustainability Advisor to support the Contract Environmental functions, provide, and support the development of Environmental solutions and enable the Contract / Operational Teams to implement the Group SHE Management System. To build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, whilst providing an independent and objective view of Environmental Performance on the Contract. London Heathrow (LHR) is the main international airport serving London. It is the largest of the six international airports in the London airport system. The airport is owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings and in 2021, it was the seventh-busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic and eighth busiest in Europe by total passenger traffic. Costain have partnered with Heathrow Airport to deliver its investment programme, which will provide a step-change in the customer experience and transform the airport on its journey to become a net-zero aviation hub. As a delivery partner, we currently work with Heathrow throughout the project lifecycle to shape, create and deliver asset renewal and construction projects procured through the Terminal Asset Renewal Partner and Major Project Partner lots of the H7 framework. LI-JK1 Responsibilities This role is expected to support the Contract SHE team through providing support on development of environmental and sustainability solutions, embedding the SHE management system with contract / operational teams. To build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, whilst providing an independent and objective view of Environment and Sustainability Performance on the Contract. Responsibilities Support and influence the Contract Operational and Supply Chain Teams and build relationships with Stakeholders to successfully implement the SHE Management System Support and where required deliver SHE & Sustainability training, to allow the contract team to successfully implement the SHE Management System Support the Contract Operational and Supply Chain Contractors in the delivery of the Contract Environmental and Sustainability requirements Be actively involved in providing feedback on the performance in the ongoing assessment of the Contracts Supply Chain Contractors across SHE & sustainability matters Actively support the delivery of the annual Contract and Group SHE & sustainability Objectives Actively engage with the Contract Environmental & Sustainability Assurance programme to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements Actively support the investigation of all SHE unplanned events and close out of assurance findings, ensuring lessons are shared in accordance with the SHE Management System Support the timely reporting, analysis, and use of Environmental & Sustainability data to support and influence the Contract Leadership Team Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Essential Environmental related experience Desirable Relevant Environmental experience in relevant industry Qualifications Essential Environmental degree or equivalent AIEMA or equivalent Desirable Environment and sustainability modules within course PIEMA or equivalent
