We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department (Winchester) as a Patient Services Administrator.
You will need to be enthusiastic and well organised, contribute to the provision of an effective admin service and ensure the trust provides a positive experience and meets its contractual requirements.
Main duties of the job
This role is customer focused and will require a team player who is friendly and approachable and can contribute and support the busy admin department.
Including manning reception, answering enquiries processing referrals and appointments. Whilst confidently communicating at all levels and delivering completed tasks in a timely fashion.

Essential criteria
1. Effective verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationship with internal and external customers
2. Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
3. Experience of handling difficult situations
4. Computer and IT literate- Word Processing, Email/software – send/receive documents, use attachments. Ability to learn new hospital booking and other job-specific IT systems
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Experience of working within the medical, NHS or public sector
6. Experience of working in a busy customer focussed environment
7. Knowledge and experience of a wide range of administrative procedures and proven implementation capability
Desirable criteria
8. Experience of using hospital booking and other IT systems (e.g. Patient Centre, CSC Maternity, CRIS, Viewpoint, GROW, PBR, PHS, NHSb Portal (SPINE), C&B, Transport System, EPR and other IT systems)
Qualifications
Essential criteria
9. Good standard of general Education including English Language, maths of GCSE to grade C/ 4-9
10. Customer service training or similar
Desirable criteria
11. Equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study or employment experience
12. ECDL, other information technology/word processing qualifications

13. Ability to work on own initiative with guidance and input from managers, within standard operating systems
14. Well presented with a positive attitude
