The Position The successful applicant will be carrying out the professional duties of a teacher whilst undertaking any duties and tasks under the reasonable direction of the Principal and Assistant Principal to include: Planning and delivering lessons to pupils with communication and interaction needs. Assessing and monitoring the specific needs of the pupils with SEN. Working as part of a team to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils. Unqualified teacher applications with suitable experience will also be considered and paid at Unqualified Teachers status, Pay Scale 2 - 6 (National) at £25,193 - £35,259 per annum SEN 1 Allowance of £2,787 per annum. What you will offer The successful applicant will not need to have previous experience working in a SEN provision, but must demonstrate a thorough understanding of SEN. You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent), be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies to meet the specific communication needs of pupils with significant SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and must be able to plan lessons effectively for groups and all the pupils. You will have: successful teaching experience across primary, secondary or both. strong subject knowledge in your own subject and also the ability to teach across other subject areas.
