You will be working in a statutory department with very strict deadlines.
The role will require undertaking sometimes difficult phone calls with distressed customers. Hybrid working can be offered on a rota basis, with an office presence required in County Hall, Lewes, on a weekly basis (minimum of 3 days per week onsite). Further details can be discussed at interview.
Required skills:
1. Strong ICT and MS Office skills – Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with LiquidLogic is an advantage.
2. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate with parents, schools, and other professionals.
4. Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
5. Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands, including switching between tasks throughout the day.
6. Excellent time management.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Resilience, especially when liaising with customers by phone.
9. Appropriate level of assertiveness.
This assignment is expected to last up to 12 weeks while we recruit permanent staff; however, it may be slightly shorter depending on recruitment progress.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
