About the FirmA well-established and respected large law firm based in Belfast is seeking apliance Executive to join its Risk andpliance team. The firm is known for delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining strong regulatory and ethical standards across all areas of practice.
The RoleThis is a key operational role supporting the Head of Risk andpliance in delivering the firm’s AML, financial crime, onboarding, and quality assurance frameworks.You will play a central role in ensuringpliance processes run efficiently, risks are identified and escalated appropriately, and a high standard of service is provided to fee earners and clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Onboarding & Matter Management
1. Manage new client onboarding and reactivation requests in line with AML and risk policies
2. Prepare and review engagement letters and onboarding documentation
3. Liaise directly with clients and fee earners to obtain KYC/CDD documentation
4. Track onboarding progress and ensure timelypletion
AML & Due Diligence
5. Conduct CDD, EDD, and ongoing KYC refresh reviews
6. Perform sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening
7. Monitor high-risk clients and escalate concerns
8. Assist with source of funds and wealth analysis
Risk &pliance
9. Identify and escalatepliance issues and risks
10. Support internal investigations and remediation activities
11. Assist with audit responses and quality assurance initiatives
File Management & Quality Assurance
12. Oversee file opening, closing, archiving, and destruction processes
13. Conduct file reviews and quality assurance checks
14. Support regulatory frameworks such as Excel and ISO
Advisory Support
15. Provide guidance to fee earners onpliance and onboarding matters
16. Act as a point of contact for AML and file management queries
17. Assist with training and awareness initiatives
Systems & Process Improvement
18. Support the operation and enhancement ofpliance systems ( onboarding platforms)
19. Maintain accuratepliance records and reporting data
20. Contribute to process improvement initiatives

22. Excellent organisational and time management skills
23. Confidentmunicator with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
24. Strong IT and systems skills
25. Ability to follow procedures and escalate issues appropriately
Desirable Experience
26. Experience in apliance, AML, onboarding, or regulated environment
27. Background in a law firm or professional services setting
28. Knowledge of KYC/CDD processes and regulatory requirements
29. Experience with file management, audits, or quality assurance frameworks
30. Familiarity withpliance or onboarding systems
