Bank Senior Healthcare Assistant – Ophthalmic (Bank Basis)
Spire Regency, Macclesfield is recruiting a Bank Senior Healthcare Assistant to join their Ophthalmic team on a bank basis.

Main duties of the job
 * Visual fields and OCT
 * Visual acuity (including all types of distant and near vision tests)
 * Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of globe and surrounding structures
 * Patient education and compliance issues, including drop or ointment instillation and pre‑op preparation in specific clinics
 * Ocular swab
 * Biometry and measurement of intra‑ocular pressure using iCARE
Job responsibilities
 * Visual fields and OCT
 * Visual acuity (distant and near)
 * Basic knowledge of globe anatomy and physiology
 * Patient education on compliance and pre‑op preparation
 * Ocular swab
 * Biometry
 * Measurement of intra‑ocular pressure using iCARE
Qualifications
 * NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential
 * Experience in Ophthalmic is desirable
 * Previous experience as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
