Tasks
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in providing direct care and support to young people within a residential setting. Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing direct care and support to young people in a residential setting.
* Offering guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
* Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans.
* Ensuring a safe, positive, and stimulating environment for residents.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
* Upholding high standards of safeguarding and child protection.
* Facilitating engaging activities and promoting personal development.
* Working collaboratively with the care team and external agencies.
Skills
We are looking for individuals who possess:
* Min. 3 years of Experience in a residential care setting, or a strong desire to step into a senior role.
* Proven ability to be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Eagerness to take on more responsibility.
* Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and sleep-ins
* Must hold or be working towards a Level 3 in Children's Residential Care.
* Relevant experience in childcare or a similar field.
* Proficiency in guidance and support techniques.
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
