The technical shared service in ALM & Hedging is looking for a specialist Senior Manager to join the Asset Liability Management (ALM) team. This would suit someone with a keen interest in the financial markets, the use of derivatives to manage risks and knowledge of UK Life insurance propositions.
A bit about the job:
ALM & Hedging is a Technical Shared Service within the Group Centre leveraging the specialist skills and expertise in asset-liability management and financial risk management. The financial decisions associated with the ALM position can make a big difference to our customers.
This role will primarily support the Insurance Wealth & Retirement (IWR) business across the UK and Ireland, with a focus on the ALM for several With-Profits funds (WPFs). You'll be responsible for reviewing the appropriateness of ALM & Hedging strategies, taking proposed changes through governance and monitoring the performance of the strategies; coordinating rebalances if the positions move out of agreed tolerances. You'll also develop relationships with peers within Group Capital, across IWR Finance and Risk. In addition, you'll be interacting with Aviva Investors on a regular basis.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Technical and practical knowledge of financial markets and risks, with experience in the structuring and execution of derivatives across a broad range of asset classes
* Experience in asset and liability exposure management and hedging
* Knowledge of With-Profits propositions, capital management and/or setting investment strategy
* Understanding of insurance capital & accompanying technical skills

* Salary - National: Circa £100,000 London: Circa £120,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
