As a Residential Worker focused on autism, your primary role will be to provide dedicated care and support to individuals on the autism spectrum within a residential setting. Your mission is to create a nurturing and secure environment tailored to their unique needs, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.
Your key responsibilities in this role include:
* Promoting and safeguarding the well-being of individuals with autism under your care.
* Offering support and encouragement in navigating daily challenges and milestones.
* Actively listening in a calm and understanding manner, utilising effective communication techniques to ensure comprehension and validate their experiences.
* Contributing to the development and growth of individuals with autism by providing structured activities, promoting social skills, and serving as a reliable and compassionate role model.
