Overview of Role:
As a cleaning operative, you will undertake cleaning duties across the site, ensuring a complete cleaning service is provided in compliance with CQC and Health & Safety Regulations. (The CQC is the body that ensures health services provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.)
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Ensure that assigned areas are clean, presentable, and serviceable at all times to improve customer experience.
* Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the hospital, adhering to operational standards.
* Present yourself professionally, courteously, and in accordance with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and values.
* Complete all duties related to cleaning and waste collection within designated premises.
* This role can be physically demanding, involving lifting and manual tasks.
* Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks such as washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
* Assist with laundry duties and rotas as required.
* Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
* Take responsibility for your area, maintaining high standards.
* Contribute to good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Comply with all statutory regulations at all times.
* Follow any reasonable requests from your line manager.
About You:
* Good time-management skills

* Friendly and helpful with customers
* Effective time management to complete tasks
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* Good communication skills
* An enhanced DBS check will be required
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
