THE ROLEOur drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road. THE SALARY£37200 plus £50 weekly bonus KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information; Occasionally driving class 2 and 3.5t vehicles during peak periods; Maintain cleanliness of vehicle; Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly; Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use; Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late; Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive; To ensure you arrive at your job on time; Excellent customer service; Maintain health and safety standards; Operating in a safe way, following all road rules; Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office; Delivering goods to various locations. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Qualifications. Class 1 Driving Licence (CE), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class licence with 12 months experience. Experience. Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge. Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written. Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers. Planning & Organisation.
