Sheet Metal Fabricator

Salary: £14.50p to £16.00p / hour (Negotiable)
Equivalent £30.2k to £33.4k / annum + Bonuses
The Role:
The role is for a sheet metal fabricator to work in a busy fabrication shop to produce both standard and bespoke equipment used in the quality control / NDT sector.
This will encompass all aspects of fabrication, including: MIG & TIG welding (typically 1.5 to 10mm thick material), marking out, drilling and tapping to close tolerances, and operating associated fabrication equipment.
Experience Required (Essential):
· MIG & TIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel
· Work with stainless steel to a high-quality finish
· Ability to read engineering drawings
· Experience of operating guillotines and bending machines
· Basic math and problem solving skills
· Marking out, drilling and tapping to close tolerances
The person:
· Effective communication and organisational skills
· A team player with the ability to work independently and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
· Starting pay is dependent on experience and attracts two 1% bonuses in April and September and a discretionary bonus in November after 12 months.
· The role is contracted for 40 hours a week with 12:30pm finish on Friday.
